Beliefs, Mission, and Philosophy

OUR BELIEFS

An important and unique feature of our curriculum is teaching respect to and tolerance of other cultures, beliefs, ideas and opinions. It is well-known that children learn a great deal from one another- and to learn that all people are different is an important concept for children to learn in today’s society. Therefore Pleasant Street Preschool welcomes children and families of all religious backgrounds and seeks to be a community in which every individual is treated with sensitivity and respect.  PSP values a mix of religious, ethnic and racial backgrounds, and seeks to promote understanding and appreciation of this diversity.

OUR MISSION

Pleasant Street Preschool is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for learning, socializing and developing. The program provides a high-quality educational structure with a focus on art, music, language, sensory activities, active play, early literacy and earth-friendly practices.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Pleasant Street Preschool believes that children do best when they are in a safe, nurturing environment that embraces joyful discovery, imaginative play, creativity and a love of learning.
