Goals & Objectives

GOALS 

  • Value and respect each child as an individual
  • Understand and meet the developmental needs of each child socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually so they can develop to their fullest potential
  • Provide opportunities for children to gain confidence and a healthy self-concept
  • Foster an excitement about school and learning
  • Teach problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution
  • Encourage creativity in all areas and aspects of the classroom
  • Foster an acceptance of others through the establishment of a classroom community
  • Increase an awareness of the outside world and provide opportunities for community involvement
  • Provide a Spanish-English bilingual program so that children and families of both languages can feel comfortable and learn from one another
  • Model and encourage environmentally-friendly practices
  • Encourage parental involvement through a variety of activities
  • Continually develop teacher expertise by observation, research, and professional development opportunities
