Star of the Week

Who’s the star this week? It could be your child! Each week at PSP a different student is chosen to be THE STAR! The child who is the star gets to answer ten questions that share his/her life story and bring in pictures to show off their family, their pets and their favorite things.

The Adventures with Amigo Program

Amigo is small, stuffed brown dog that goes home with a different child in the PreKinder Class each weekend. He comes with a scrapbook and pen so that the children can chronicle what they did, where they went and all the adventures they shared with Amigo. They can draw pictures or attach photographs. This scrapbook encourages the children to not only read the old adventures with their parents but practice writing with them as well! Every Monday Amigo returns to preschool and the new story is shared with the class during Circle Time.

The Measuring with Amiga Program

Amiga is a small, stuffed white dog that goes home with a child in the Preschool class each weekend. She comes with a scrapbook and ruler so that the children can measure favorite objects from home and decide if they are bigger or smaller than Amiga. The parents write the findings in Amiga’s scrapbook and the children draw pitcures or attach photographs of all the items that were measured. Each Monday Amiga returns to preschool and the new story is shared with the class during Circle Time.
